The Center for Science in the Public Interest wants to sue McDonald’s. Why? Because they are making kids fat, of course. How? By “unfairly and deceptively” marketing their toys to sell Happy Meals. HUH!? Now, I can’t see why this is so…

The article from Google says that because some parents get worn out saying “No” to their children and ultimately give in to their kids, saying they’ll go to McDonald’s. Now, I’m not a parent, and I can’t claim to know how you raise your kids, so please don’t take this as an attack on your parenting. I’ll get that out of the way now.

I’ll go on to say that my parents said no to the notion of going to McDonald’s on more than one occasion. Was I mad? Well, of course. But, I’m 22, and I understand why they said no in the first place. And, call me crazy, but I never saw a clown holding a gun to my parents’ head telling them to take me to Mickey D’s. If my parents can say no to my brother and I asking if we can eat there, then I think others should be able to.

I have to say to the Center for Science in the Public Interest: Don’t blame McDonald’s for some peoples’ lack of ability to say no. Say the words and just get on with life. CSPI: Stop being stupid and get with the real world. This lawsuit is about as stupid as the one with the guy suing McDonald’s for his coffee burning him, or the guy who put his RV on cruise control and crashed when he got up to go make a sandwich.
